Teaching ESL Students in Mainstream Classrooms – Shanghai, Sep 2017

12 teachers joined us at Nord Anglia International School Shanghai Pudong to be trained as tutors as part of the Teaching ESL Students in Mainstream Classrooms Tutor Training.

The feedback

Extremely valuable in regards to academic writing and nominalisation. Very valuable in regards to the whole staff bringing up. Alison Roberts, Upper School EAL, Shanghai Community International School – Pudong

I truly enjoyed the course and feel it’s had a great impact on how I will develop my teaching and perhaps influence other colleagues. The course content covered many different areas and there was a good balance between theory and practice. It will definitely influence the planning for my EAL department. Maria Pantasoulas, EAL and English Teacher, British International School Shanghai

It’s made me think a lot about what we are doing and how we are doing it. Marina Prozesky, EAL Coordinator, Dulwich College Shanghai

Enjoyed all the discussions and activities. They provided a lot of scope for election. Brenda Connolly, Head of English, St. Andrews International School, Bangkok

Thoroughly enjoyable with lasting impact. Extremely valuable to me. John was very knowledgeable and very responsive to questions, as well as an extremely liable presented. Just a huge THANK YOU! Alan Pritchard, English / EAL Teacher, Nord Anglia Shanghai Pudong

I enjoyed the course and had many “lightbulb” moments that I will be applying directly to my teaching. It was extremely valuable and relevant to myself as a teacher, my students and to the benefit of my school. I enjoyed the element of integrating participants in delivery. Cori O’Hagan, Teacher, Dulwich College Shanghai

John was an excellent deliverer of the course who was able to use vast experience to supplement the program. I found the content very comprehensive. It’s very useful to do this course at the start of my journey with a new school and department. Particularly Module 9 and thinking about the bigger picture. Kathryn Watts, Head of EAL, DeHong Chinese International School
