Teaching ESL Students in Mainstream Classrooms – Brisbane, Sep 2017

Another set of excellent feedback from our Teaching ESL Students in Mainstream Classrooms Tutor Training’s participants in Brisbane.

Has had an enormous impact on me. I didn’t realise I have a lot more to learn. I have learnt so much! Amazing. All content was helpful. Penny Kourra, EALD Teacher, Balmoral State High School

After the course, I’m feeling energised and reassured. The content of the course is just so valuable, especially in an international context with teachers and students coming from many different backgrounds. The metalanguage and concepts really can help ground a program. This will certainly be helpful for my school in terms of establishing a school-wide culture and language. All students will benefit from the strategies. Jason Stevens, Elementary School EAL Teacher, Saigon South International School

I enjoyed every moment. The content was excellent. It broadened my understanding of many concepts and answered many questions. Elizabeth Bester, Teacher, St Luke’s Anglican School

Loved it, total enthusiasm from me! I can’t wait to be a tutor. The content was fantastic, very practical. Holly Haswell-Smith, Literacy Coach, Yeronga SHS

Thoroughly enjoyed the course and interactions with other participants. very valuable with lots of ideas to take back to my context. Meiko Stephen, Literacy Numeracy Coach, Tagai State College

The course was very enjoyable and hugely valuable. The contents of the course effectively linked theory with a wide range of practical applications of EAL pedagogy. It will continue to inform the pedagogical practices at my school. Sam Dilly, EALD Curriculum Coach, Yeronga SHS

I have thoroughly enjoyed the course. It has given me a great deal of clarity and a wonderful platform from which to launch my position in a new school. The content is thorough and interesting. Very well presented and professional. Extremely knowledgeable tutors. Melissa Meldon, Head of Department EAL/D, Redbank Plains State High School

The course overall was really informative and enjoyable. The activities were engaging and very practical. The content is very relevant and tangible. After my initial day, I really felt that I developed the necessary skills and confidence to deliver the program. Petrina Mercer, A/HOSES EAL/D, Kedron State High School
