Teaching ESL Students in Mainstream Classrooms – Brisbane, Sep 2018

October 23, 2018

Thank you to our wonderful trainer, Lynette, for delivering another “eye-opening” course. The feedback from participants is outstanding.

This course was so enjoyable. I hung onto every word the entire course. It opened my eyes to a deeper and more meaningful way to enhance my teaching practice. Best PD I have ever done. This will completely change the way I teach, how I teach, what I teach. Loved this course so much. So much more than I ever could have imagined. Heather Schulz, EAL Teacher, Horsham West and Haven Primary Schools

Fantastic – exactly what our school was looking for. Full of practical strategies to effectively teach language. Thomas Hawkey, EAL/D Teacher, Mabel Park State High School

A highly engaging and motivating professional development experience. Very valuable to my education system especially in Tasmania where PL that meets specific needs is not always easy to come by. Will be an excellent support for Catholic Schools in Tasmania. A well-paced delivery often tailor-made to cater for specific individual needs and circumstances. No need was left un-met! Kylie Engisch, Education Officer EAL/D, Tasmanian Catholic Education Office

Exceeded my expectations! It validated some of the things we’re already implementing but it has really given me a path forward where I can take the school, teachers and students. 150% will be valuable to school, leadership, staff and students. I am so excited to take this back and share all I have learnt. Naomi Kitching, EAL/D Coordinator, Mabel Park State High School

I thoroughly enjoyed taking the TESMC Tutor Training course. After taking the LFL teacher course last year, I was keen to get a tutor licence and roll out the program in schools where I work. I think the course is great as it will allow me as an EAL coordinator to make language-focussed teaching more accessible to mainstream teachers. Modules are well designed and sequenced. Extremely valuable! Samantha Webster, EAL Coordinator/Teacher, Horsham West and Haven Primary Schools

I very much enjoyed the course and the dynamic of the group. The content is very useful, especially Module 7. Very valuable for me as a teacher and quite an eye opener in many ways. I can’t wait to have others benefit from this course at my school. Fantastic delivery by Lynette! Very knowledgeable and super supportive. Christina Murray, Acting Head Intensive English Centre, Keebra Park SHS
