We are excited to announce that Lexis Education is now a NESA recognised PD Provider.
If you are a teacher based in NSW (Australia), you should be aware that NESA has removed Accredited and Elective PD categories to give teachers more flexibility in completing their required 100 hours of professional development. You no longer need to:
- complete a minimum amount of Accredited PD
- complete PD from across the 4 mandatory priority areas
- write an evaluation for any completed Accredited PD courses
- align PD activities against the 37 Standard Descriptors, instead aligning it to one or more of the 7 Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (the Standards).
Providers on the NESA recognised PD provider list have had a bona fides check and must have at least one active course that is aligned to The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (the Standards). This is now the case for all Lexis Education courses.
- Our 3L (Language and Literacy for Learning) course may contribute 45h of PD addressing the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- Our TEMC (Teaching in English in multilingual classrooms) may contribute 50h of PD addressing the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
