Assessing a student text using Lexis Education’s LLDC

Lexis Education’s Language & Learning Development Continuum (LLDC) is an essential tool for supporting your students’ achievements, in that it outlines the language demands that need to be specifically addressed to progress their learning.

In order to show you how powerful the LLDC can be, we have created 4 case studies analysing texts produced by 4 students:

  • A 14yo English student
  • A 15yo Technology student
  • A 9yo EAL student
  • A 9yo EAL student

As you might already know, the LLDC is organised according to Genre and the three components of Register (Field, Tenor and Mode), and so, the analysis of the texts is also based on these four components.
