A very successful Teaching ESL students in mainstream classrooms tutor training in Melbourne this month. Thank you to Templestowe Primary School for hosting our 5 participants. They were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the materials and the delivery, and look forward to running the Teacher Course in their school.
Fantastic course!High level of engagement each day. The course content was very clearly set out and it was presented in developmental stages. The whole course and its content was most valuable to myself as a teacher and facilitator. It will benefit my students and the whole school community. Excellent delivery. Very well paced and explained with great examples. A most collaborative learning experience. 10/10 Mara Rawlings, Classroom Teacher, Serpell Primary School
Very enjoyable and engaging with all the activities and the readings really enhancing our learning. Really interesting and builds in complexity nicely. Very valuable across all levels (personal, class level + whole school) as we have quite a large number of EAL learnings. Well paced and very accessible. Chris made all concepts easy to grasp. She was very explicit. 10/10 Mia Reid, Literacy Learning Specialist, Serpell Primary School
I have really enjoyed the course and realised it’s not just about the EAL students but it benefits all students and all teachers have the responsibility. The course content was relevant to me and it all flowed on. I felt at the end it all came together and it was great to explore in module 9 how it could be implemented into what we have. Chris was great in her delivery of the session. 10/10 Rebecca Chandler, Classroom Teacher, Serpell Primary School
I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Although quite taxing, it made sense and many of the topics/ideas really resonated with me. It made me consider my own teaching practice on a much deeper level. Very valuable. It reinforced many issues that are prevalent in my school and that need to be addressed. It highlighted the value of a whole school approach. The delivery was wonderful! 10/10 Rachael-Anne Wilton, EAL Teacher, Peninsula Grammar
I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and having Chris guide us all the way through. The content was thought provoking and was always linked back to what we can do to support students. Extremely valuable! To all students, not just EAL. Chris was amazing! Very encouraging and supportive. 10/10 Rebecca Martin, Classroom Teacher, Serpell Primary School
